Holier Than Thou is a serious, edgy study of priestly homosexuality. Priest Wells says, "Sometimes, to save a sinner you have to become one yourself." For an example he fucks spunky street-meat Crew, then gives him the number of an organization that will help him get off the street. Later, in a bar, he assists the self-esteem of nerd Aames by making him stay and take part in a fourway with two cuties who rejected him. Wells' unorthodox ministry is contrasted with the sin of heartthrob-handsome priest Stone, who takes what Wells considers inappropriate and immoral advantage of seminary student Pierce. In an aside, Wells approves of the wholesome attitude of younger friends Phoenix and Anderson, who boisterously fuck without any signs of guilt. "A good man who believes in love?
