Idol In The Sky was Ryan Idol's last hardcore feature, with him portraying a commander in a Top Gun-like Academy. Idol was undeniably one of the most popular and enduring superstars the industry has ever produced, and here he is as dazzling as ever. Sporting a military buzz-cut and fighter pilot wardrobe, he is the perfect blend of Tom Cruise and a Saturday Morning Cartoon Superhero. Director Taylor (Chi Chi LaRue) Hudson gets good performances from the all-star cast. There's not much of a plot; Idol plays a staunch Air Force Commander who doesn't mind mixing it up around the base. His scene with parachutist Bo Summers is a sizzler, they really get that Humvee hummin'. Fans will get what they came to see - Ryan idol in three sex scenes.
