What were gay guys doing in 1938 when Orson Welles terrified the nation with his War of the Worlds radio broadcast? Well, blond hunk Punk and brunet Hawke were playing cards. Border Patrolman Capra and wetback Cruz were scaring each other in the dark. Radio execs Crew and Matthews were wondering whether to take the show off the air. And terrified farmer Hudson was cowering in a corner. Director Blakk couldn't afford 1930s sets or costumes in Mars Needs Men for the most part, nor could he erase his talented cast's modern tattoos and haircuts, so with a big the hell with it, he mixes old photos and recordings with present-day clothes and furnishings and makes up for it by videographing his handsome stars acting their hearts out and getting their rocks off, with every frame crisply-designed, strikingly-lit, and edited for maximal arousal and amusement.
