It took almost five years, but superstar Zak Spears finally stepped in front of the camera again to perform in The Journey Back. And boy, was it worth the wait! He still looks fantastic, a little older but just as sexy, gruff and growling and still with that amazing cumshot that sends shivers of delight through viewers. In this venture, Spears has been debating about returning to gay porn and, after a yummy rooftop tryst with hottie Kyle Kennedy, is contacted by Men of Odyssey top brass to make his return video. With co-directors Chi Chi LaRue and Jim Steel aboard, they begin Spears' journey back. There are some good sex scenes - notably a bedroom trio with Tony Donovan, Caesar and Anthony Cox and a hot subway scene with Spears, Nino Bacci, Jackson Price (who easily takes two dicks up his bum), Mark Rockwell (briefly) and hunky Alec Martinez. The ending, which is equal part brilliant and equal part frustrating, is a teaser that will have Spears fans on the edge of their seats until the next video is released. Cox does double duty here and earns a pre-nom for Best Music, as does the screenplay and Spears as Best Actor - he doesn't emote much, but he's still a sexual powerhouse and that's deserving enough.
